L-Fucosyl binding properties of the lectins from the colonial tunicate Clavelina picta

The carbohydrate specificities of Clavelina picta lectins CPL-I, CPL-II and CPLIII were analyzed by inhibition of the hemagglutination. The relative 50% inhibitory values indicted differences in their binding sites, already suggested by theirdistinct hemagglutination profiles and specific activities.
