Resumen:
So far, Argentina records six species in four genera.This group was formerly included as a subfamily of Lygaeidae (see J. Slater 1964, 520 and J. Slater and O?Donnell 1995, 65), but Henry (1997a, 296) elevated it to family status encompassing the three subfamilies Bledionotinae, Geocorinae and Henestarinae.
