Resumen:
For the Argentina the family Enicocephalidae has recorded two species, in two genera.Comprehensive works on this family by Jeannel (1942) and Usinger (1945) were much used for later works, such as Wygodzinsky and Schmidt?s (1991) Revision of the family for the New World [with keys to the species of all included genera except those of Systelloderes]. The latter work included a subfamily Aenctopecheinae which is now considered a family. ?tys (1995d, 71) include a modified key to the five subfamilies of Enicocephalidae.
