Resumen:
The following list contains records of 28 species in 10 genera for Argentina, and is based on the papers containing original data, and also on the checklists and catalogues summarizing earlier publications.Although Schuh and Slater (1995, 22) followed the classification of Dolling (1981), we follow herein the suprageneric classification of the family accepted by Froeschner (1960), Lis (1994), Aukema and Rieger (2006) and Pluot-Sigwalt and Lis (2008). Basically, the phylogenetic relationships between the two classifications are similar, except that many of Dolling?s subfamilies are recognized as full families by most workers (see, e.g., Lis 1994; Grazia et al. 2008; Pluot-Sigwalt and Lis 2008).
