So far, Argentina records for one species in one genus.The small Neotropical group was accorded family status by Kormilev (1955f); whereas most later authors have trated it as a subfamily of the Tingidae (Drake and Davis, 1960; Drake and Ruhoff, 1965; Schuh and Stys, 1991).According to Schuh et al. 2009 the sister group of Tingidae + Vianaididae at the Thaumastocoridae.
