Resumen:
One species, has been recorded for Argentina.The present definition of this family is based in the Carayon and Villiers (1968) study. They reported a world total of 15 species in four genera. Froeschner (1981, 61) keyed the two subfamilies and the two known from tropical America Aphelonotinae and Pachynominae
