A
taxonomic revision of Chrysopilus
species from the humid forest of the oriental Andes slopes from Peru, Bolivia
and Argentina is presented. Based on Statliches Museum Für Tierkunde Dresden
(Germany) typical material of Lindner, the following species of Lindner, are
redescribed including genitalia morphology and illustrated: Ch. andicola (female and male, from
Bolivia and Argentina), Ch. aymara
(female and male, from Peru), Ch.
chrysopiliformis (female, from Bolivia), Ch. hybridus (female, from Peru), Ch.
inka (female and male, from Peru), Ch.
philippi (female and male, from Peru), and Ch. schnusei (female and male, from Peru). Two new species, Ch. calchaqui (female and male, from
Argentina) and Ch. golbachi (female
and male, from Argentina) are described. Besides a new combination Chrysopilus chrysopiliformis (LINDNER) (Atherix) is established.
