The purpose of this work is to study and compare the curing kinetic of a furan resin and three kinds of nanocomposites. As the curing kinetic of furan resins cannot be described by an unique E value, isoconversional methods have to be applied. Vyazovkin numerical analysis provides the most accurate method to analyze the E variation with the reaction conversion. Even if Ortega method results simpler, its precision is more affected by the selected Da. Friedman method gives a good approximation only if conversion intervals are small enough. As a matter of fact, in that case the resulting curve is equivalent to Ortega profile. Nanocomposites E profile showed a peak at conversion 0,5 approximately, independently of the clay added to the polymer. The furan resin E curve did not exhibit it. It seems that this increment in the activation energy may be due to the clays that act as physical barriers to the polimerization when a certain conversion has been reached.
