Resumen:
We document 18 new localities for Cryptonanus chacoensis for six provinces in Argentina, from remains recovered from owl pellets and material deposited in collections. Records from Santa Fe expand the western species distribution between 9,4 km and 135 km. The distribution within Eco-regions and Vegetation Units showed the majority of records in Eco-regions Delta and islands of the Paraná and Uruguay rivers and Pampa, and Vegetation Units Paraná Delta and Missionery/Paranaense Rainforest, respectively.
