Argentine physical society gender committee: Building a community with gender equity and equal opportunities

Since the recognition that women in science receive unequal treatment during the development of their careers, gender committees have been established inside scientific societies with the aim of promoting actions ensuring attention to gender perspectives in science activities. In this paper, we present the main activities of the recently instituted Gender Committee of the Argentine Physical Society to improve the current situation in terms of gender in physics in Argentina.
