Resumen:
The relationship between metabolism and the immune response to bacterial infection on the organismal level remains to be completelyelucidated. Glucose is the key metabolite for immune cells and plays a critical role in the outcome of the infection. Here, we examined therelationship between sickness-induced anorexia and glycemia with cytokine production during the course of Yersinia enterocolitica (Ye)infection. C57BL/6 (WT) or TNFR1-deficient (TNFR1-/-) mice were orally infected with Ye O:8 by gavage.
