Resumen:
This paper presents a model that reproduces temperature and humidity variability from vegetated areas in the city of Mendoza, and analyses their relation with the surrounding constructed environment. Therefore the model simulates the water vapor contribution and its dispersion through the surrounding heated air, which helps to understand the interaction of vegetated and constructed areas in the formation of the heat/dry island effect. Once the model is calibrated, it allows the study of different scenarios with various options of green areas and construction density. This study is especially relevant in cities developed in semi-arid zones, like the case of Mendoza
