Resumen:
The traditional use of the land by indigenous peoples has contributed to maintain biodiversityand cultural values. Therefore, the integration of EIK (Ecological Indigenous Knowledge) andESK (Ecological Scientific Knowledge) could help to generate new strategies for research anddevelopment for conservation of biodiversity and the implementation of natural resourcesmanagement system. This paper describes an analysis regarding the status of the Internationalexperience in the integration of EIK and ESK, as well as a local case study developed in theGuarani Reserve for Multiple Use (RUMG) of the School of Forestry-National University ofMisiones.
