Resumen:
Abstract Administration of a rich fructose diet to normal rats, produce an increment in triglyceridemia and isulinorresistance and a decreasing in the threshold of glucose secretion. Further, it induces deeply changes on the expression of PMCA2 and PMCA3 in B cell pancreases, decreasing the first and increasing the second isoform without non significant changes in the housekeeping isoforms 1 and 4. However, the fructose-rich diet did not modify the gene expression of the isoforms. Altogether, these changes could modify the calcium concentration that remains transiently into the B cell and therefore the threshold for the insulin secretion.
