Resumen:
In Miraflores de la Candelaria (Jujuy), Jorge Prelorán documents the everyday activities of Hermógenes Cayo and his family. Activities such as tending sheep, making crucifixes, and playing the harmonium illustrate the rhythm of the life of the inhabitants of this land far removed from large cities. The protagonist offers his story to accompany the different sequences, describing, opining, or poetically creating a rich narrative, dubbed by Anastacio Quiroga. The documentation of the culture of the Argentine north is Prelorán's objective: a family can, as he used to say, sum up an entire civilization. The rescue ofdisappearing customs and the portrayal of cinema's marginalized subjects are the premises of Imaginero. This film was part ofthe survey of folkloric expressions, a program directed by Augusto Cortazar and financed by the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán and the Fondo Nacional de las Artes.
