Resumen:
One of the most important properties in the practical application of monolithic structures with catalytic coatings is the adherence of the latter. In the present work, we undertook a systematic study of the prepartion variables of the immersion method affecting that above mentioned property. The zeolite particle size, the solvent employed, the use of colloidal additives and calcination temperature influenced the final stability of the coating. We determined that the adherence increased with small-size particles, with the use of polar solvents, the addition of nanometric silica, and high calcination temperatures. This effect is due to a more effective insertion of the zeolite particles in the surface macropores of the support, to the quality of dispersion prior to deposition, and to the development of a high interparticle cohesion with temperature an additives respectively.
