Resumen:
CO2 capture at high temperature (>500 ºC) is one of the approaches to reduce CO2 emissions, and it is based on the utilization of solid materials reacting with CO2 through the carbonation reaction. Alkali ceramics are stable compounds with good carbonation properties. Due to CO2 capture can be used for decarbonation of combustion gases or coupled with reforming systems, sorbents must present good capture properties in presence of H2O and low CO2 (5-30%) concentrations. Therefore, this contribution presents the effect of steam on sorption properties of Li, K, and Na zirconate-based materials reacting with 15% CO2.
