Resumen:
Different Fe2O3/CeO2  and  Fe2O3/Al2O3  catalysts  were prepared, characterized and tested for the catalytic wet peroxidation of concetrated phenol  solutions (5000 ppm), at mild  operation  conditions. The effect of process  variables,  such  as  catalyst  loading,  phenol   concentration or H2O2/phenol molar ratio was evaluated.   The  alumina-supported systems exhibited higher reaction rates and also higher final mineralization levels. The highest mineralization degrees were registered working at H2O2:phenol ratios near stoichiometric and higher   catalyst mass.
