Resumen:
Glycerol interaction with Pd(111) surfaces shows almost complete formation of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, some aldehyde (H2CO).When dosed at higher temperatures Glycerol immediately breaks andthese fragments lead to stabilization of further Glycerol layers. In the presence of oxygen on the surface of Pd, glycerol chemistry shows less production of hydrogen and CO and more water andCarbon dioxide. In the case of chemisorbed oxygen more aldehyde or ?another?aldehyde is observed. For the surface oxide, almost no aldehyde isdetected. For the PdO films, not much chemistry at low temperaturebut mostly all is burned to water and carbon dioxide above 400 K
