Resumen:
We propose a molecular wire that is made from alternating bis(1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane)tungsten(0) centers linked by 1,4-phenyldiisocyanide ligands. Aryl isocyanides coordinate with greater Ð back donation with Pt, than with Au or Pd. Ð back donation ensures that Ð conjugation is preserved between the molecule and the electrode surface, reducing contact resistance. The conductance of 1,4 phenyldiisocyanide has already been tested using molecular break junctions. In the present research, the conductance of 1,4-phenyldiisocyanide is tested using conducting probe-atomic force microscopy. The conductance as well as some physical properties of oligomer wires consisting of bis(1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane)tungsten(0) sandwiched between two 1,4-phenyldiisocyanide ligands is tested.
