Scaling - up of the Photocatalyitic Degradation Process of Nitrogen Oxides with Concrete Stones Containing Titanium Dioxide

The modelling of a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) that is assembling, housing concrete stones with titanium dioxide for the nitrogen oxides (NOx) degradation is performed. The employed kinetic expressions of NO and NO2 for the mass balance in the reactor correspond to the proposed ones in [1], determined with a smaller planar plug flow reactor. This CSTR reactor is a scaling-up of the DeNOx process with photocatalytic concrete stones and, in addition, is an intermediate step to verify that the proposed kinetic model for the NOx is suitable for outdoor applications.
