Dynamics analysis of within-host models for acute infections with inmune response

Within-host acute infection models have shown to be useful to understand the dynamics of pathogens at thecellular level and, more important, to understand how to tailor drug therapies. A particular family of them considersthe virus and the immune cells as populations in competition, by assuming that the virus induces the proliferation ofimmune cells while the latter promotes the clearance of the virus. In this work, a particularization of such models isproposed and a detailed dynamical characterization of it is performed to show the intrinsic behaviors of acute infectionboth, in open-loop and under potential treatments. Some numerical examples are simulated to illustrate the results
