Resumen:
This paper presents a novel constraint programming (CP) formulation that addresses the scheduling problem associated to a class of Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) and considers a variety objective functions (i.e. minimizing maximum completion time, processing cost). The FMS produces different parts demanding a set of operations on several machines which have tool magazines of limited capacity. Each tool being used has a limited tool life. Operation times and costs depend on both the machine and the tool that are assigned to the operation. The contribution includes computational results of different size problems.
