Resumen:
The Tordillos prospect is a copper (U-V) deposit hosted in the coarser facies of the paleochannels of Huincul Formation. The U anomalies (135ppm and 251ppm) are erratic and correlate with the presence of abundant supergene V-U-bearing minerals. Cu mineralization consists of interstitial Cu and Fe sulphides replacing an early barite cement (1). U mineralization is formed by francevillita and carnotite associated with Cu supergene minerals and a second generation of barite (2) cement. The textural relationships have revealed that barite precipitation (2) played an important role in the precipitation of K and Ba uranil vanadates
