Resumen:
An integrated study, combining sedimentologic, geochemical and paleobiologic data sets, has been performed along the Agua de la Mula Member of the Agrio Formation, in order to delineate a reconstruction of the palaeoenvironmental and palaeoceanographic conditions during the late Hauterivian. From the measured section, we summarize a detailed sedimentological study together with a complete record of programmed pyrolysis, organic petrography, X-ray diffraction and calcareous nannofossils analysis. Field data and X-ray diffraction allow to recognize two facies associations, representing distal to proximal facies in a carbonate-siliciclastic outer-ramp. Carbonate-bearing mudstones (carbonate> 60% and quartz
