In this work we present a method to detect filaments in the environment of galaxy clusters. The purpose is the detection of filaments crossing clusters, which would serve as preferred directions onto which the clusters have un- dergone most of the accretion. We used both spectroscopic and photometric data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 7. For the identi- fication of the filaments we developed a method based on number galaxy overdensity in order to infer the direction of anisotropic accretion.
