Resumen:
The treatment of skin lesions often requires the use of temporary barriers to protect the wound from harmful agents and enhance the healing process. Electrospun polymeric nanofibers have emerged as a promising option for wound healing dressings because due to their ability to mimic the extracellular environment of tissues [1]. In addition, these nanofibers can be easily modified to incorporate therapeutic and antibacterial agents, resulting in multifunctional materials.This study aims to investigate novel nanofibrous polymeric dressings with an expanded structure, combined with mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) as carriers of tetracycline, for potential application in skin tissue engineering.
