Resumen:
The inclusion of different nanomaterials presenting conductive properties such as polyaniline nanoparticles (PANI NP), polypyrrole nanoparticles (PPyNP), and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) in several kinds of polymeric matrices (e.g., electrospun mats, hydrogels or films) is explored. The optimization of procedures for their obtention and full characterization of the relevant physicochemical, thermal, and spectroscopic aspects are described. The incorporation of the above-mentioned nanofillers allows the tuning of novel properties on the matrices. Among other key aspects, the responsivity to Near Infrared Radiation (NIR) and radiofrequency (RF) gives thenanocomposite generated materials potential capability to be applied in the biomedicalfield, especially in light-activated therapies (e.g., PTT) and the development of scaffoldsfor tissue regeneration.
