Resumen:
The aim of this work was to analyze the effect of different parameters: PVA concentrations; the number of freezing-thawing cycles and the duration of each cycle on several properties of PVA hydrogels and to compare it with chemically cross linked ones. From the results obtained in the present study it is possible to be optimist about the future use of freezing/thawing hydrogels, avoiding the use of toxic crosslinking agent, for applications such as drug delivery or wound dressing. Future work related to external stimulus and mechanical characterization will be carried out
