Resumen:
The present paper reports the occurrence of Ebalia rotundata (A. Milne-Edwards, 1880) in marine waters off Argentina and Uruguay, and thus extends its known geographical distribution in the Argentinean Zoogeographical Province more than 700 km northwards. Feasible dispersal mechanisms of this species are discussed.
