Polycaprolactone / clay nanocomposites: from preparation to final behaviour

Nanocomposite films of PCL/clay were prepared. The best nanocomposite performance was obtained with 5 wt.% of C20A. The extent of clay dispersion as was demonstrated by DRX, TEM and melt rheology analysis and correlated with other characteristics (mechanical and creep properties, crystallization behavior and biodegradation). Nano-mechanical models were used to explain the experimental behavior.
