Optical Anisotropy Behavior of Azobenzene-Functionalized Epoxy Polymers

Photoinduced optical anisotropy has been studied in several azobenzene-functionalized polymers based on epoxy resins, either thermoplastics or thermosets. The growth and decay processes of the optically induced birefringence have been studied as function of azo compound concentration and environment in which azo moiety exists.
