Resumen:
Phytopthora taxon salixsoil and P.dreschleri are reported causing a fruit rot of pear (Pyrus communis) Golden  2Russet  Bosc  in  Argentina.  The  oomycetes  were  isolated  from  developing  brown  rots  of  fruits  that  were  3observed  pre-harvest.  P.taxon  salixsoil  and  P.  dreschleri  were  identified  on  the  basis  of  morphology  and  4molecular tests and confirmed as the causal agent by fulfilling  Koch´s postulates.  P. dreschleri  was reported  5for pear culture in Argentina for the first time.
