Abstract: This paper délas with the tectonic setting and the regional distribution of the tertiary basins developed along the Argentine Central Andes (22º -36º LS) between post-Incaic (Late Eocene) and pre-Diaguita (Late Pliocene-Early Pleistocene) times.
