Resumen:
Natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) have become the most convenient and environmentally friendly solvents available. These eutectic mixtures are made up of common cellular constituents such as sugars, amino acids, organic acids and choline derivatives that have unique physical-chemical properties. Six methods have been reported for the preparation of NADES: heating and stirring (HS), evaporation, microwave heating, lyophilization, baths, and ultrasonic probes. Although all these methods have particular advantages and limitations, the HS method is still the most widely used, requiring relatively large energy consumption.Solar radiation can be actively harnessed with the use of different technologies. The present work introduces a new NADES preparation technique through the use of direct solar radiation. With this objective, a 3D printed solar concentrator was designed. The device was used to synthesize 12 NADES and demonstrate the simplicity, speed, and low cost of the procedure. The prepared NADES were then applied for the in-situ extraction of chlorophyll in Vitis vinifera leaves, also using the solar concentrator and later a 3D-printed fluorimeter coupled to a Smartphone for detection..
