Ourprevious results demonstrated that a Brucellaspp. protein (Bp) is a broad spectrum protease inhibitor as it can inhibitproteases present in the stomach and gut (mostly serine proteases). In this workwe demonstrated that Bp also possesses inhibitory activity on lysosomal proteases(cysteine proteases).
