Resumen:
The aim of this work was to synthesize aspirin (AS)-containing hybrid microspheres (HM) of a bridgedsilsesquioxane via ultrasound-assisted self-assembly of abridged pecursor. Based on the self-assemblingproperties of this bridged precursor, the structuredmicrospheres could incorporate AS in the resultingmatrix at molecular level. The AS-release behavior ofthese novel microspheres was tested under physiologicalconditions. In order to employ these HM in advancedbiomedical technologies, preliminar in vitro cytotoxicitytests were performed on the synthesized material.
