Resumen:
Plant communities in the Departments of Castellanos and Las Colonias (Santa Fe, Argentina). During November-December 1991 and January 1992, one hundred and sixteen quadrats were made to analize the vegetation of Castellanos and Las Colonias departments. Tables of constancy were made later for every noda. Four different groups of communities were distinguished: Stipa sp. Grasslands, halophilous prairies, Spartina argentinensis grasslands and hygrophilous communities. The first group is floristically the richest, and is segregated in five noda, characterized by the abundance and constancy of a few species, while most of the species have very low constancy values. The second group cand be divided in four noda, the third into two noda and the fourth into four noda. As in the first case, these noda are characterized by the abundance and the constancy of a small group of species. Some quadrats were not included in any of the previous groups, and they were characterizes as miscellaneous communities. These communities may be scarcely represented in the region, or perhaps the quadrats were taken in disturbed or ecotonal sites.
