Resumen:
Leafhoppers affect diverse crops and particularly corn (Zea mays L.), whose production is severely diminished by diseases of diverse etiology. In Argentina, the only known Cicadellidae species with vector capacity of corn diseases is Dalbulus maidis (De Long & Wolcott), an important pest in tropical and subtropical areas of America. Due to the significance of the diseases and the lack of information about the leafhoppers, a survey was conducted to determine the species that inhabits maize crop in province Córdoba. The leafhoppers were collected with entomological nets in 84 localities of Córdoba, San Luis, Santa Fe, La Pampa and Buenos Aires provinces, during 2002-03 and 2003-04 in maize and graminae associated. Among the 26 species detected, distributional data, damages and bibliographical references are added three species of them were considered by the frequency and abundance. The detection of new affected areas where D. maidis is not registered,  creates the necessity for studying other species of Cicadellidae as possible vectors.
