Resumen:
The nutrient uptake by roots of crops through a moving boundary model is studied. A solution through the integral balance method is obtained. Another solution through the front-fixing method and the application of finite difference method in his versions explicit up wind and full implicit is obtained. Moreover, an additional solution through the finite difference method without application of front fixing method is obtained. All solutions are developed in Fortran algorithms, which are applied to compute K, Mg and P uptake by seedlings pine. The obtained results for the four methods are compared with experimental results as with predictions of other well know model based on fixed domains as the Barber-Cushman model.
