Resumen:
In this paper theoretical framework and methodological aspects of Philosophy For Children, Lipman´s proposal to encourage higher-order thinking, are examined. The program emerged in 1969 and today is the outstanding curriculum for grade school philosophy. The curriculum consists of a novel for children and a manual for teachers; the ideal is turning the class into a community of inquiry, in the way of Socratic dialogues.
