Resumen:
Semi-activevibrationcontrolsystemsarebecomingpopularbecausetheyofferboththe
reliability ofpassivesystemsandtheversatilityofactivecontrolwithouthighpower
demands.Inthiswork,anewsemi-activecontrolsystemisproposedandstudied
numerically.Thesystemconsistsofvariable-frictiondamperslinkedtothestructure
through cables.Auxiliarysoftspringsinparallelwiththesefrictiondampersallowthemto
return totheirinitialpre-tensionedstate.Usingcablesmakesthesystemsuitablefor
deployable,flexibleandlightweightstructures,suchasspacestructures(spacecraft).
A controlsystemwiththreecontrollawsappliedtoasingle-degree-of-freedomstructure
is studied.TwooftheselawsarederivedbyusingLyapunovtheory,whereasthethirdone
is developedheuristically.Inordertoassesstheperformanceofthecontrolsystem,a
parametric studyiscarriedoutthroughnumericalsimulations.Anapplicationofthe
proposed methodtomulti-degree-of-freedomstructuresisalsopresentedanddemon-
stratedthroughanumericalexample.Thesysteminsemi-activemodeismoreeffective
than inpassivemodeanditseffectivenessislesssensitivetolossofpre-tension.
