We employ the dielectric formalism and a shell-wise local plasma approximation (SLPA) [2] to deal with the stopping power of solid targets taking into account screening and antiscreening contributions. In this contribution we analized stopping of He in Al. The target free electron gas and the bound electrons are considered. For the screening-stopping the projectile electrons are incorporated as frozen through the Fourier transform of a screened Coulomb potential, dependent on the momentum transferred to the target electron. For the antiscreening contribution we considered the excitation and ionization of the He ions 1s-2s, 1s-2p and the ionization. The total antiscreening is calculated as sum of them After a detailed calculation we find that the electron–electron contribution to the stopping power of He in Al is less than 1% of the total stopping.
