Resumen:
Studies on gender inequalities in science are abundant, inequality that is especially evident in STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). During the last year the world has gonethrough one of the most difficult social crises of the last 100 years. The COVID-19 pandemic hasmodified and put to the test our lifestyle: changes in work routines, in children's schooling, in caretasks. The situations of illness and loss have affected all families worldwide. In this context, thegender subcommittee of the Argentine Physics Association (SG-AFA) conducted a survey to assessthe living and working conditions of scientists in Argentina. The survey took place during the winter2020 (July 29 - September 4) and collected 830 responses, representing breadth in gender, age, and stage in scientific career. Our aim was to reflect, from a gender perspective, how and how much the situation of isolation or distancing affected scientists. In this contribution we will present the results obtained: how time dedicated to research and teaching was modified, the influence of care tasks, the differences when there are minors in charge, or older adults in charge, if gender bias deepeneddue to the pandemic. We also analyse the impact of economic resources on the homeworking-style of scientific work: the importance of home comfort, of having a room to work isolated from the rest of the family, the technological resources, internet connectivity. The raw data of the survey, as well as a first presentation of the results, are available on the SG-AFA websitehttps://generoafa.wixsite.com/subcomision/eventos
