Patrimonio arqueológico brasileño: conservación y manejo en el municipio de Ituiutaba, estado de Minas Gerais

The last decades were characterized by an increment of concern in the protection of cultural heritage, not only by researchers and international institutions, but by the community too. This paper shows how the management of the cultural heritage in Brazil is, presenting a case study in Ituiutaba district, Triângulo Mineiro region, Minas Gerais state. This district has been working in the register of their archaeological sites by the implementation of ?Plano de inventariado? according to the Instituto Estadual do Patrimônio e Artístico de Minas Gerais. Hence, these activities are done in a Cultural Resource Management framework. The use of these two instruments will allow acknowledging the archaeological heritage in the area and taking actions in its conservation and public use.
