Resumen:
The Copahue-Caviahue Volcanic Complex (CVCC) hosts an important volcanic-magmatic-hydrothermal system. The acidic waters that conform the upper Agrio river -Caviahue lake - lower Agrio river hydrological system are derived from the volcanic-hydrothermal system hosted into the Copahue volcano. These waters are characterized for low pH and high conductivity values. Changes in the compositions of these waters are controlled by two main processes, dilution by meteoric waters and precipitation of Fe-bearing minerals.
