Resumen:
Natural composites prepared f rom a poly urethane (PU) based on tung oil and dif f erent percentages of wood f lour (WF) or microcellulose (MC) were exposed to humid env ironments and the resulting changes of their properties were ev aluated. The equilibrium moisture content of the composites increased with the wood f lour percentage. Dy namic mechanical tests perf ormed during temperature scans rev ealed the changes resulting f rom moisture absorption on the main transition temperature of the matrix as well as on the storage modulus. The tensile mechanical properties of the materials were also strongly af f ected by moisture. The dif f erent degree of dispersion achiev ed during the incorporation of WF and MC into the matrix was considered the main reason f or the dif f erent ef f ect of each f iller on the thermal and mechanical properties of the resulting composites.
