Resumen:
Adoptive cell therapy is a new approach to cancer treatment. However, the handling of non-adherent cells (e.g., chimeric antigen receptor T cells) remains a challenge. As these cells are maintained in suspension, the exchange of media is difficult to manage without losing cells during the process, which complicates the long-term maintenance of cellular culture. Also, manual handling results in time-consuming and error-prone processes, leading to high variability of outcomes, high reagent consumption, and low reproducibility. To overcome this limitation, we present a new approach applying microfluidics and Lab-on-a-Chip (LOC) devices to the experiments.
