Resumen:
Molybdosilicic acid solutions acidified with HCl were impregnatedon carbon and silica by the equilibrium adsorption technique. From the equilibrium adsorption isotherms performed at 20◦C, itwas established that the heteropolyacid amount adsorbed on carbonis higher than that on silica. Differences in shape and initialslope of the isotherm were observed. The interaction of the molybdosilicateanion was higher with carbon surface groups than withsilanol groups. The physicochemical characterization of the solidshas shown that the molybdosilicic acid presents an undegradedKeggin structure in the supported samples up to 250◦C. The surfaceacidity, mainly related to heteropolyacid adsorbed amount, washigher for samples on carbon. However, the silica-supported acidshowed a bulk acidity higher than that on carbon, due to its lowerinteraction degree.
