Resumen:
This work presents different alternatives for protection of structures and components subjected to close-in blast loadings. Firstly, two alternatives for the protection of RC members are designed and studied; classical steel jacketing and a new sacrificial layer material. Secondly, composite aluminium epoxy resin?carbon nanotubes (CNT) sandwich plates are analysed in this paper. Experimental and numerical results are presented and compared.
